USB 2.0 is peripheral bus standard that brings plug and play of computer peripherals outside the box, eliminating the need install cards into dedicated computer slots and reconfigure the system. Personal computers equipped with USB 2.0 will allow computer peripherals to be automatically configured as soon as they are physically attached - without the need to reboot or run setup. USB 2.0 will also allow multiple devices - up to 127 - to run simultaneously on a computer, with peripherals such as monitors and keyboards acting as additional plug-in sites, or hubs. These USB 2.0 cables utilize low capacitance 28 AWG twisted pair wire to enhance accurate data transmission at long distances and two 24 AWG wire to carry the power throughout the bus. The entire USB 2.0 cable is double shielded (foil & braid) to provide optimum protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI).
